City of Cape Town, Economic and Human Development Department
The Programme is an initiative of the City of Cape Town to develop Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) by issuing vouchers to both potential and existing entrepreneurs through existing information and referrals agencies such as the Red Doors, Business Place or any similar initiative approved by the City of Cape Town.
Who is eligible?
The applicant must:
Be older than 35 years;
Be a South African citizen; and
Live or permanently reside within the City of Cape Town.
Other criteria include:
Be a potential entrepreneur who demonstrates commitment to starting his/her own businesses; and/or
Be a women entrepreneur – over 35 years old; and/or
Be an existing business with potential for job creation and growth; and/or
Be a start-up entrepreneur whose project proposals can attract sub-contracts, government procurement and joint ventures.
Where can the Voucher be found?
Vouchers will be distributed by the Red Door centres in
Khayelitsha, Mitchell’s Plain, Atlantis and the Business
Place eKapa.
